From fear to fierce

Doula Support to Help You Birth Boldly

Birth is unpredictable.

But your support system doesn’t have to be.

Sarah Richau Doula Headshot

I Didn’t Just Witness the Shift — I Lived It.

I didn’t become a doula because birth was beautiful for me.

I became a doula because it wasn’t — at first.

My first birth lasted 55 hours. I pushed for 5. It was full of wires, bright lights, and decisions made for me — not with me. I didn’t get the golden hour. I didn’t even hold my baby first.

But when my doula walked in, everything shifted. I felt seen. I felt strong. I realized how powerful it is to have someone in your corner — not telling you what to do, but helping you find your voice.

Then came my second birth — the one that showed me what was possible.

I labored at home, pushed for 15 minutes, and walked out of that hospital feeling like I’d just run errands, not birthed a whole baby. No tearing. No trauma. Just strength, support, and peace.

That’s why I do this - to help you go from fear to fierce. To show you that this birth can be different. To bring calm, clarity — and yes, even some laughs — into your birth space. Because I’ve lived both sides of the story. And I want you to write your own. From fear to fierce. That’s not just a brand — it’s my story. And maybe it’s yours too.

Words That Made Me Cry Into My Coffee (In the Best Way)

“I was pregnant with my third boy last August! I had never had a natural birth and was quite scared of the outcome. I heard about Sarah and how incredible she is/was at creating a safe space for a new mom/third time mom. SHE DID JUST THAT! Aside from this review, Sarah made me feel through every meet that my labor would go exactly how God designed it. Naturally. She lead me through various exercises and affirmations that would help guide me the day of. I can’t even express how grateful I am for Sarah and the amount of love and dedication she brought to my pregnancy. I will 100% be using her in the future.” - Zoe
“Sarah really helped me during my last pregnancy with answering any questions I had. We also had a few hurricanes towards the end of my pregnancy and I was nervous that I might go into labor at home during the hurricanes. Sarah helped me prepare for an at home birth, just in case. She also gave me the peace of mind knowing she would help me over the phone if I needed her. She’s personable, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and will help you every step of the way. I highly recommend her!” - Rachel
“Sarah is amazing!! It is so rare to meet people who you are 100% comfortable being totally honest around, but Sarah is one of those people! That is so key to have in a doula. Not only does Sarah put you at ease, but she is so knowledgeable on everything pregnancy, birth, and postpartum related. As a mom herself, she walked through the same struggles, overcame them, and helped me through it too. As a first-time mom, I had so many questions and fears, but Sarah talked me through everything and was so reassuring to have by my side! She will never make you feel dumb or overly anxious about anything.  Postpartum, I also struggled with breastfeeding and sleep regressions with my little one and Sarah helped me through those stages too. 10,000% recommend Sarah!” - Sierra
“Being pregnant can feel so isolating and confusing… I have been very fortunate to have Sarah for guidance, support and most importantly, community. She has navigated me through every odd symptom or late night question. If there’s anyone I trust with pregnancy support it’s definitely my doula Sarah.” - Maggie
